The A1c test shows an average blood golcuse level of the body over the past 2-3 months. It does not, and cannot, show what caused the blood golcuse to be at that level. Unless your doctor orders more than just the A1c (such as a tox-screen) if you have consumed any alcohol or other mind altering substances, it will not show in an A1c test.
