ON-LINE NUTRITION CLASSES and LIFESTYLE COACHING
Because I believe that theory is great, but practical knowledge is where the rubber hits the proverbial road, I have put together a variety of programs that incorporate recipes, instruction and guidance along your path to better eating. Beside being a certified nutrition counselor, I am a nationally renowned raw vegan chef. My approach is centered on helping you adopt life-changing—and sustainable—practices. Check out the on-line choices as well as the custom, work-with-me-live options here.
ON-LINE NUTRITION PROGRAMS
If you want to "test drive" the raw vegan lifestyle in a guided way, this program is for you. In RAW 21 you will be steered toward new ways to view and interact with food through a daily lesson or "module." The RAW 21 program is not a “kit” where you just follow the steps and I hand you a menu of foods you must eat. You will learn new ways to view and interact with food through the daily emails. I'll suggest supplements, books and other resources for you to check out, and I'll share my own shortcuts and tips. I will even give you suggestions for maneuvering social situations! RAW 21 is designed to help you break old thought and behavior patterns as they relate to nutrition. At the start of the program you'll get sample recipes that you can modify and tailor to suit your own taste preferences. Each day for three weeks I will send you a comprehensive lesson around a different topic, such as:
- Juicing
- Setting up your kitchen for efficiency
- Superfoods
- Sprouting
- Fermenting
- Cleansing
- Emotional eating
- Environmental toxins…and more!
The cost for Raw 21 is $147.

Having aches and pains, digestive problems, or trouble shedding those extra pounds? Feeling fatigued, irritable or out of sync? Have you found yourself straying from your normally healthier habits? If any of this sounds familiar, it may be time for a detox. Environmental toxins enter the body through the food you eat, the water you drink, and the air you breathe. Chemicals, pesticides, heavy metals and other pollutants contribute to many of the chronic illnesses we see today. Detoxification is about cleansing your body from the inside out. By flushing out toxins, then nourishing your body with healthy nutrients, detoxifying can help protect you from disease, promote weight loss, and give you more energy. In this program, you’ll receive an email each Friday morning, which you’ll use as your guide through the following week. I will support you through six life-giving weeks of eating clean, unprocessed foods, including freshly made juices (you’ll want to have access to a juicer to get the most from this program). I will provide you with new recipes each week to get you started. I'll suggest supplements and even share my own shortcuts, tips and lifestyle pointers. Each module will build upon the practices introduced the week prior. The suggested (optional) assignments will let you delve even deeper into related topics. The 6 Week Lifestyle Detox was developed with the belief that:
- Food is more than simply calories to fuel your daily life: What you eat literally “becomes you.”
- What you take into your body during a detox program is just as important as what you work to release. The single greatest source of everyday toxins is the foods we consume. Learning to avoid pesticides, additives, preservatives and chemicals is a focus of our plan.
The cost for 6 Week Lifestyle Detox is $79

Experience the benefits of a modified fasting program…and feel like a whole new you! Join me for a revitalizing and refreshing ten day body and mind detox and gain knowledge of real cleansing on all levels. There are two versions of the Unplug & Recharge program. You can choose the level of cleansing that feels right for you: the daily mailings are the same for each version—the only difference is what you choose to include in your fast. You can opt for:
- 1) A 10-day “juice only” deep cleanse — includes an optional 5-day herbal cleanse.* You will want to have access to a good juicer for this option.
- 2) A 10-day “liquids only” cleanse — you enjoy smoothies, blended soups and juices. This also includes an optional 5-day herbal cleanse*. You will want to have access to a blender (and possibly also a juicer) for this option.
* The optional herb kit is available from Blessed Herbs for an additional charge, if you decide to add that to your experience. Taking part in the herbal cleanse is not required, you will still experience benefits without it.
The program includes delicious recipes and daily emails and lessons about such topics as cleansing techniques, dealing with social pressure and how to properly reintroduce food. I developed this detailed program based on my own research and participation in various fasting protocols, including a 92-day juice "feast" in 2008. You will determine the pace and intensity of your cleanse with help and guidance from daily emails, useful tips and a 16-page recipe booklet.
The cost for Unplug & Recharge is $79

For making smoothies, soups, nut milks, dressings and more. My favorite brand of blender is the VitaMix, and you'll want to view it as an investment (expect to pay $450 and up). I am an affiliate of VitaMix, meaning if you order a blender from the company and use my affiliate number you'll get free shipping and I get a small commission. Visit Vitamix's website or call (800) 848-2649 and ask for affiliate sales. The affiliate number you need to give them is 06-004532.

A dehydrator blows warm air through food at low temperatures. You will notice that some gourmet raw food recipes require a dehydrator. The best brand of dehydrator is the Excalibur, that's why I'm an affiliate of Excalibur. Visit: http://www.excaliburdehydrator.com/ and buy from their website, you'll get a special discount, and then I get a small commission.

Looking for a new career in health and nutrition, but you feel as thought you need further education? I am a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Please be sure and tell the admissions team I sent you—sometimes they offer a "friend of an alum" offer or package.
Currently, there is a wide array of cookbooks and instructional videos available and more are being introduced almost daily! We hand pick educational materials that are user-friendly and a good value for the money to recommend to you.
Books and DVDs
More than 700 pages of amazing info and recipes. Sheree says "My copy is tattered I use it so much." |
One of the first widely distributed raw food cookbooks, this one is Sheree's recommendation for those who want the perfect entry-level guide. |
A good book for those who like options! Author gives ideas for substitutions and cooked versions of raw recipes. |
An in-depth book (more than 600 pages) that answers a lot of "frequently asked questions" about health, food, detoxing, etc. |
A soon to be classic, this one will make you look at our food and medical systems with a whole new set of eyes. |
This film underscores the real cost of "cheap" food and helps us to consider where food really comes from. |
Follows real people on the quest to reclaim health with diet—and specifically juicing—as a central strategy. |
Professional quality video with lots of good tips in addition to the recipes and demonstration. |
This is Sheree's favorite juice recipe book. Easy to use and all the recipes are delicious! |
Every one of us is affected by cancer in some way. This book is truly eye-opening. A truly gutsy book. |
This comes as a book too, but Sheree recommends listening to it in the car, so this link will take you to the audio book. |
Michael Pollan is well-known for being succinct, direct and memorable. If you work with Fork in the Road and Sheree—and follow the edicts in this book—you'll find yourself in a far, far better place health-wise...promise! |
Kitchen Appliances and Gadgets
In addition to certain appliances—such as a food processor, a juicers or a good blender—there are some odds and ends that just make healthy eating that much easier! Some of the can't-live-without items we like are shown here.
These last a long time. An essential for making your own nut milk or for straining juices. |
Sheree uses this handy measuring cup to make uniform nutburgers and sweet potato pancakes. |
Invaluable for spiralizing vegetables into "pasta" as well as for making cool garnishes. |
Pricier than the tri-blade brand, but worth the extra. Has four different blades. | Adjustable and handy for quickly making perfect slices, this gadget is compact and easy to store. |
Invaluable for evenly spreading cracker and fruit leather batter, this is also handy for getting the last bit of goodness out of your blender! |
If you like sauerkraut or kim chi, you should really be making your own! This makes the process simple...worth every penny! |
Perfect for traveling or to keep in the office, nobody makes a smoothie as good as you do! |
In addition to being useful for storing leftovers, the (optional) jar sealer will extend the life of your freshly pressed juices! |
Use with any wide mouth canning jar to seal in dry goods, dressings—even fresh juices—to ensure a longer storage life. (Must also have the Foodsaver unit to use this item) |
Works great for wheatgrass; use other juicers suggested here for all-purpose juicing. |
This is Sheree's "go to" juicer when she is in a hurry. Easy to use, easy to clean, the wide feeder tube makes juicing a cinch! |
Smaller (and less expensive) than the other Breville juicers, this is a great entry-level model. |
This is the absolute most fabulous juicer, but know it'll take longer to clean. Still, the juice lasts longer and you'll get more. |
The unique shape of these spoons lets you slip them right into your spice jar—less waste and less mess! |
These make removing avocado and young Thai coconut meat effortless, also works for melons, tomatoes...even kiwi! A perfect gift. |
|
Perfect for grating ginger, makes zesting a cinch. Way better than the old box graters. |
We like bamboo cutting boards best, and this is a good one: Well-made, durable and attractive. |
If you're serious about tea, this is one serious tea maker, it literally makes perfect tea every time. Simple to use. |
This isn't the newest of the Cuisinart food processor models, but it's the one Sheree uses at home. She likes all the optional cutting discs you can get for it. This is a classic! |
|
Great solution for "where do I put my disc blades?" Stackable and easy to store. |
A good knife is essential...and this is a very good knife! Stays sharp. Worth the money! |
You do not want to use a good knife to whack open a young (Thai) coconut! This cleaver is reasonably priced, easy to handle and gets the job done! |
Don't dirty the blender: use this for grinding fresh herbs, dried seeds (like cumin) or small amounts of flax. |
|
Now you can easily pour things from your wide-mouth jars. The flip-style lid is handy! |
These (24 oz.) jars are the perfect size when a quart jar is too big, and a pint is too small. We've not seen them in stores, only on-line! |
Handy for pouring and for storing—holds 8 cups! |
